I’m Maya, founder and principal designer of Maya Design.

With an international background and education abroad, I bring a broad perspective to my work, drawing inspiration from different cultures, environments, and ways of living. My global experience has shaped an appreciation for thoughtful design that feels personal rather than tied to a particular trend or place.

Before becoming an interior designer, I worked as a chemist - an experience that taught me to think analytically, work with precision, and pay close attention to the details.

Today, I bring that same mindset to interior design, combining creativity with thoughtful planning to create homes that are beautiful, functional, and deeply personal.

I believe a home should feel calm, warm, and simple to live in.

I believe the best interiors aren’t designed for a photograph. They’re designed for the people who live there every day.

I started my career as a chemist until I decided to make a change and do what I really love – designing. I went back to design school after having my third child, proudly taking the accuracy, irritation, organization and managerial skills from chemistry into the design world.
